What can be more important than your family?
The short answer is NOTHING!

Nothing can compete with the memories you and your family make and share
everyday. These memories begin when you think about starting a family and never
end from there.

Nothing can compete with the love you feel for each other. Sure, there are times
that are trying, but they are minor compared to the everlasting bond between
you.

Nothing can compete with the constant change going on in the family. Some
changes take place in 5 minutes and others take place over a period of hours,
days, weeks, months, or years!
If you believe...
...Your family is most important
...Memories are made to last and should be cherished
...Change is a constant and happens quickly

...Time passes before we've had a chance to savor
the moment
forever?
forever?

Well, in a way, I think you can. As a professional photographer, I have dedicated
myself to capturing special family memories. Not only am I a professional family
photographer, but I am also just like you... a family person.
Then you must read on...
Stop the hands of time. Preserve the most
valuable thing we own - memories!
Can you relate to this at all? When I stop and think about it, I wonder where the
time has gone. Do you ever do that? Ever look at the kids and wonder when did
they get to be that old? - when did they start doing certain things?
Have you ever noticed that the older you and the kids get, the faster time seems
to rush by?

A BRIEF PERSONAL STORY

As the kids were growing up, we used to get photos taken of them together. Very
rarely did my wife and I get in any of the portraits - we just did not want to
spend the money.

When the kids started going to school, we stopped taking them to a studio for
portraits and started relying on the school photographer. What a mistake! Not
only were the photos "cookie cutter," but they looked rushed and un-natural.

Side note - we visit the grandparents often. We also "bore" the kids by looking
through old photo albums and pictures - not only of us, but also of distant
relatives of the past. One thing I noticed is how few photos there are of the older
generations - not a lot to help understand our history. Sad. Back to my story...

Recently, my eldest son started college. What a change! (A story for another
time) He lives about 3 hours away, so we rarely see him.

The good news - we have plenty of photos of each of the boys as they were
growing up and we continue to add to them each year.

The bad news - not a lot of family portraits early on. We have started taking
family portraits more recently. We realized the importance of these times and how
fast they go by. We realized we must capture these moments before they are
gone.

We are lucky! We realized all of this before it was too late. We have some nice
family portraits and some of them are on my web site - yes, I photograph my own
family and we have a blast! Not only do we get to capture who we are, but we
also take the time to love each other and have fiun.

LET'S CONTINUE...

Thank you for letting me tell you a brief personal story. There are lots of stories
like mine out there. There are also more disappointing stories.

There are plenty of instances where people wish they could go back and capture
the moments that are gone. There are plenty of people regretting that they never
took the small amount of time needed to have faMily portraits taken.

I hear these words a lot... "I wish I..." - "I should have..." - "Why didn't I..." -
"We only have one family portrait and it was from the Church directory."... I could
go on.
As you look through the gallery, you will see
photos of families who have enriched their lives
by preserving lasting memories through family
portraits.

MYTHS, MISTAKES, AND MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT HAVING A FAMILY
PORTRAIT CREATED

Since you are on my web site, and since you have stuck with me so far, you must
at least be considering having a portrait of your family created. Terrific! - you will
probably never make a decision that will bring you more lasting joy.

Before you and your family step in front of any camera, there a some things you
MUST know. If you keep reading on, you will know everything you have to know
about how to have the perfect family portrait created - the one you will cherish
forever!

I'm sure you are considering the time and effort you must put forth to get a
portrait created. I am sure you are thinking this is going to be a lot of work. Let
me assure you that it will not be much work for you at all. In fact, it will be fun
and relaxing - the way you should be to get the perfect portrait.

MYTH - THERE'S NO GUARANTEE I'M GOING TO LIKE MY PORTRAITS

If you choose to work with me, this is one of the myths! I believe in doing a
quality job - and not just technically. You need to be ecstatic with your portraits.
Should you have to pay for photos where you or a family member does not look
fantastic, natural, relaxed? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

I am not in this business to "just make a buck." I am in this to give families what
they must have and deserve - superb portraits that preserve loving and cherished
memories for generations to come.

I have been checking around, and I think I am one of the only photographers in
Montgomery County, MD with a written guarantee. In fact, I think I'm one of the
only photographers in the Washington, D.C. area that will pay you back more than
you paid me if you are not blown away by the portraits you receive. I'll explain
more a little later.

Myth - ANYONE CAN TAKE PICTURES TODAY

Again, another misconception. Sure, it's easy to pick up a digital camera and snap
away. BUT, not everyone has an eye for the right photograph. Not everyone
knows exactly when to press the shutter release. Not everyone knows how to get
their subjects to look natural and relaxed.

Sure, you could save money and get a friend or relative to take a picture of you
and your family, but is it worth the risk?

How much are your family's memories worth? I think they are priceless! So, why
gamble with those memories? Do you believe a portrait of your family could really
mean that much to you?

If you were sick, and had to go to a doctor, would you want the "cheapest"
doctor, or the best one? Well, there's really no question. It's the same thing with
your family's memories. You can certainly find a cheaper photographer in this
area. They are all over! But there are other things to consider than just price...

To get portraits that capture who you really are, you need to work with a
